8/30 Lake Orion vs Troy - L 13-31

Lake Orion lost a tough game this week against a strong Troy Colts team by the score of 31-13.  Troy put together 2 grinding drives in the first quarter to take the early lead at 14-0.  In the second quarter Lake Orion was able to score on a 20 yard pass play from Chris Lum to Ryan Broth to make it 14 - 7 with just under 8 minutes to go in the half.  Later in the half Troy made a field goal to make the score 17-7. With less than 2 minutes to go in the second quarter, 3 year starting quarterback and team captain, Chris Lum went out of the game with an injury to his non-throwing arm.   In the second half Troy continued to grind out drives and the Dragons could not overcome the big lead.  Back up quarterback Derek Coe lead the team to a late touchdown drive that ended when Brandon Oakes scored on a 12 yard run.  The Dragons record is now even at 1 win and 1 loss and they face a tough challenge in Rochester Adams next Friday at Home.
