10/10/08 Lake Orion vs Royal Oak W 55-0

The Royal Oak Ravens came into the Dragon’s Den with no wins and is was quickly obvious they were no match for the powerful Dragons.  The Dragons used all there weapons and everything worked as they dismantled Royal Oak 55 to 0.  

Danny Ney started off the scoring when he grabbed a Sean Charette 33 yard pass.  Ney scored again quickly when he broke numerous tackles on his way to a 64 yard TD run.  The next 2 TD’s were short goal line runs by Branden Oakes.  Mikael Lott scored on a 27 yard run, Kim Bruce scored on a 2 yard run and Matt Turner scored on a 2 yard run.  The last touchdown of the day was scored in the 4th quarter when Derrick Coe threw a 24 yard pass to Kyle Larson.  Mike Heath made 5 of 6 extra points and Matt Keuhl added a final extra point.  AJ Fligger rushed for 50 yards.

The defense played just as good as the offense the whole game.  Royal Oak never really threatened to score.  Big hits by the Defensive line and linebackers slowed any running game the Ravens tried to get going.  Robby Lentz had another acrobatic interception.  Vinnie Booker was super on punt return giving the Dragon offense good field position throughout the first half. 

The stage is set for a great game next week at Adams.  Come out and see the Dragons try to knock off one of the highest ranked teams in the state.
